Course Excerpt: The Software Acquisition and Systems Integration seminar has been designed to give line, project, and contracts managers "real world" information that they can use immediately to evaluate, acquire, and deploy complex information systems.
The above example is from the seminar and is a discussion-provoking slide. After seeing it, the participants are challenged to consider their companies I.T. philosophy as part of project planning and justification. While discussing this subject, the instructors emphasize the importance of considering the expected returns from I.T. investments when developing contractual acceptance criteria. The participants are prompted to develop ways to include senior management expectations for I.T. performance into requirements specifications and contract language. Methods for gathering performance information are discussed, along with the participants' estimates for unsatisfactory, acceptable, and exceptional results against clearly stated performance criteria. «Back to SASI Contracts Training»«Back to Training Page»« Back to MAIN Page »
